During a speech to #Christian#conservatives on Sat afternoon, & AGAIN at a rally in Philadelphia that evening, Trump claimed he told his friend Dana White, pres of the UFC, that he should start a spinoff competition featuring migrants, as part of his riff on restricting #immigration.
@Nonilex this is a worthwhile piece but I think there's another layer the author misses.
The author says, "Joke or not, Trump adding his migrant-fight-club idea to his stump speech is yet another example of him advocating violence as a way to solve what he perceives to be America’s problems, and never more so than during his 2024 campaign."
He's advocating more than violence. He's pushing junk eugenics bs about the supposed superior physical prowess of non whites.
Trump said at a "messaging event" in #GrandRapids, #Michigan, "It's a very bad thing happening. It's going to end on the day that I take office, which will be Jan 20."
He lied about the #PublicSafety dangers from #migrants, repeating a favorite term of his "Biden migrant crime."

If you don't want illegal aliens crawling through your windows & ransacking your drawers, then you must vote for .. the fact that we have to throw crooked Joe Biden out of office.”

@Nonilex Merchan probably didn't start out hating Trump, but using social media to sic his crazed armed-to-the-teeth disciples on Merchan's daughter may be moving that needle a bit.
