If you are in MO, MI or CA there is a project to catalog all of the fungi in your area.

It's a citizen science opportunity and I wish I could do it in NY!

Oh I didn't understand. I can do it in NY, everyone in NA can participate in this event:

Guten Morgen! Was war gestern schön was hat euch gefreut?

Coralloid fungi (Ramaria lorithamnus?) emerging from the forest floor on Genoa Peak, Croajingolong NP, VIC. Lots of winter fungi up and about in East Gippsland at the moment after recent rain.

16/06/2024 - Today we met a Blusher mushroom on our travels. Whilst taking a quick snap I noticed ants moving underneath it, carrying larvae. What a magic thing to watch.

I took a video on my little camera, it's a bit fuzzy as these ants are small and my knees weren't that happy with the bending down. Plenty grumps getting back up again!

Short video of ants moving across the ground carrying larvae (?) Guessing something must have disturbed their home.

Mushrooms are neither plants nor animals. They belong to their own classification: fungi

Guten Morgen! Was war gestern schön was hat euch gefreut? Es sind die kleinen Dinge die zählen.

Gallerttränen bilden gelatinöse, gelbliche Fruchtkörper aus und wachsen meist als als Saprobionten auf totem, entrindetem (Nadel)Holz.

Spent the day out at Tidbinbilla south of Canberra today. Such a great spotting day!

Saw my first Lyrebird despite hearing them all my life! And saw my first Bandicoot! So cute and not particularly shy, so managed a video just with my phone (which I don't seem to be able to upload), so here is a still and bonus and

Tiny mushrooms growing out of a mossy tree truck
Curious white fungus on a fallen branch
