loren , 2 months ago so i was trying to get a shot of this leucistic brown headed cowbird but the mourning dove had other ideas.... #birds the cowbird has turned now and is looking at a mourning dove in flight as it approaches the bird bath with wings up and tail down the mourning dove comes in for a landing on the bird bath and the cowbird is gone. the doves wings are spread upwards as it attempts to stop itself on the bird bath the mourning dove looks triumphantly over its shoulder as it now has the bird bath to themself. they are puffed up and light brown with a pretty blue eye ring. a very pretty dove but not who i was trying to photograph at this moment!!
