@futurebird Okay, we can't get ant actors for this (they don't, as a rule, join SAG-AFTRA), so our choices are a little constrained. Stop motion? Humans in ant costumes? Puppetry? I'm not sure what would be the best.

@alice "Detransition" can mean several different things. I consider myself to have "medically detransitioned" multiple times -- spotty access to HRT, poorly treated ADHD, and depression spikes make it hard for me to take medication properly sometimes.

Currently I've decided to go off HRT briefly while I get my mental health sufficiently in order that I think I can reliably take it, because I suspect that highly variable sex hormones are worse for me than reliable-but-wrong ones. (I might be wrong about that.)

Still trans, still want to be on HRT.

And for a bit, I applied for jobs under my dead name to try to prod for hiring discrimination. Is that socially detransitioning? I'm sure some people would argue that it is!

so i was trying to get a shot of this leucistic brown headed cowbird but the mourning dove had other ideas....

the cowbird has turned now and is looking at a mourning dove in flight as it approaches the bird bath with wings up and tail down
the mourning dove comes in for a landing on the bird bath and the cowbird is gone. the doves wings are spread upwards as it attempts to stop itself on the bird bath
the mourning dove looks triumphantly over its shoulder as it now has the bird bath to themself. they are puffed up and light brown with a pretty blue eye ring. a very pretty dove but not who i was trying to photograph at this moment!!
