Usually the fascists are just spouting ridiculous conspiracies and lies, but this time the globe watched our beloved President Biden struggle with the ravages of advanced age at one of the most critical times for humanity in our lifetime.
And witnessed a compassionate soul who had accomplished more than most any would hope, suffered more than many could withstand, but whose age had finally begun to consume him.
His core supporters, like me, will never abandon him.
But too many of those who were undecided have already decided not to vote, or vote for Trump.
And Trump and his henchmen and media outlets are going to keep replaying the many heartbreaking debate moments, and will win unless President Biden passes his spirit to the next generation.
So that Trump becomes America's first dictator.
Defeating everything President Biden, and generations of uncounted millions of Americans, fought and died for.

And we need not debate that all who share American ideology, and despise and reject autocratic ideology, must vote Democratic down the line no matter minor difference, in what could be the last election Americans ever hold.

@GottaLaff I’m a Biden supporter & voted for him last time but I just don’t see how he can recover. People are already concerned about his age & the debate confirmed those fears. Clinton never had any moments like that. I’ll vote for almost anyone against Trump but it just feels impossible that Biden could win at this point. I think the stakes are too high to just plug our ears & refuse to explore what gives us the best chance of winning & preserving American democracy

@GottaLaff I wish thiz would go everywhere on all the other social platforms. While I think its good here, the average American is on facebook and threads and twitter and tiktok. All the brave netizens are on mastodon and there arent many.

The alternative is that the GOP and their supporters believe they can beat Biden and they're pushing the narrative that naysayers are hysterical. FWIW, I can't tell what is real anymore.
Note that I've seen a certain pattern in responses to suggestions that Biden drop out. That is, there are a huge number of people piling on anyone suggesting this. The numbers and similarity of responses make me think someone is pushing in a way democrats don't normally push.
I've been a 20 year subscriber to NYT and today I cancelled it.
When they asked why, I said I was sick and tired of them promoting the disgusting Trump and degrading the image of the only decent candidate running for the presidency.

@GottaLaff tbh i don't get the Biden defenders. I know as a German I don't have the same perspective, but my normie friends here really think it's a joke that Biden is still running. After seeing the polls (which are flawed I know) I have to agree that he should step down. Imo he is the best president since FDR and it would be great if he would set the stage for his successor. But I have to admit it's really risky to change the candidate so late
@GottaLaff pls don't get me wrong. As a world citizen I'm hoping for the best outcome, which is a dem win. But tbh I'm not convinced Biden is the right Candidate anymore. But I'm still rooting for him. I deleted a bunch of stuff I wanted to write but in the end you are right. He should win, He must win and I hope you are right. But if he has any doubt, he should drop out immediately!

@GottaLaff got any proof of that? Feels pretty loose considering the reality of that period. I can’t even remember this narrative and I was tuned right in to that cycle.
She was one of the most hated candidates in history with a long history of corruption and warmongering. That, combined with sexism was why she couldn’t even beat an absolute garbage person.
Biden only won because after seeing how horrible Trump was people wanted an escape but now they’ve seen how horrible Biden is.

@GottaLaff so keeping Hillary in the race, in November 2016 how did that work out? Except on top of king Trump now you have a religious supreme council appointed during that term waiting oversee the implementation of project 2025 etc. If people are naive to think flogging a dead horse in front of swing states voters going to win them the presidency and down ballot races elsewhere, good luck.
