I was sitting in my car in the parking lot of the beer store, playing a game on my phone, procrastinating on my mission to buy beer.

I had locked the door from pure paranoia (I'm just a paranoid guy).

A guy on the sidewalk stepped onto the parking lot and walked toward my car. I thought little of it, but I noticed. He got closer and closer, and then he grabbed the handle and tried to open the driver-side door.

It was locked so he casually kept walking like everything was normal.

It was broad daylight. I still have no idea what he would have done if the door had been unlocked. But I was sitting and in the more vulnerable position.

Now that DuckDuckGo is out. Give me your search prompts and I'll answer them as best I can. That includes images (based on what I have saved on my PC). So what is it you wish to know or see?

Body positivity is such a strange concept to me. There's efforts to reclaim words while simultaneously calling them bad if used as an insult. Ideally, people wouldn't be offended by someone describing their body with common descriptors, but socially there is so much value attributed to certain body types that it's almost...

5"10 isn't short anyway. I think it's average? "Short king" is trolling 100% of the time. I won't call it gaslighting (a term I do apply to "big dick energy") because it doesn't seek that level of psychological invasiveness. But it's not intended as a compliment. It's trolling. Its not just about getting the outcome you want (the bully leaving you alone). It's about the personal habit of being equal to confrontation. Not being rolled over by fear. You don't need a resolution, you need to be upright and confident in the face of these sniveling weasels. They'll never go away. They're a permanent fixture. Learn to play in that world. Gym membership for exercise and showering were legit part of my plan. And somewhere to store a laptop (locker) was vaguely part of it too.

But I don't think I have the constitution for sleeping rough. Maybe I'd surprise myself. I feel like I'd get lots of reading and writing done.

Well it's nice that they didn't beat her to death. But they still kicked her out and didn't actually provide any more help. "Services in the area" probably will be less adequate than what she'd had before they booted her.

I don't expect them to actually take care of her, but they don't get a gold star for declining to bludgeon, strangle, or imprison her. She's on her own.

Again, it's not praiseworthy that they merely declined to abuse her. I'm not scorning them, but they get zero credit for declining to abuse her (beyond the abuse of kicking her out with no help).

There was no measure of good whatsoever. Her situation was made objectively worse, and we're presuming to praise those responsible merely for not making it even more worse. I'm not the one who created any doom or gloom. I didn't kick her out. And it's not cynical to sympathize with the homeless woman instead of with the people who kicked her out. Mate.

I have been looking for manufacturing, assembly, production positions all over the Midwest. It's absolutely shocking how many of them want you to work rotating shifts....
