This is brilliant. The Biden campaign should be and is courting Nikki Haley supporters. It's a reversal of the so-called Reagan Democrats of the 80s. Call it "Biden Republicans" of 2024. 🙌

    This has totally been a non-issue for me, both on this instance (thank you @tchambers!) and several other instances including two different single-purpose ones I operate myself.

    Compared to issues of spam I've had to deal with even on commercial services in years past, this has totally been a nothing burger. As far as I'm concerned, it just highlights how strong the really is in dealing with temporary glitches.

    I'm just so happy here on and the that microblogging and blogging finally feel like two peas in a pod…they go hand-in-hand, one reinforcing the other.

    As it should be on the open web!

    One isn't trying to "take over" from the other, or turn knobs up and down in some algorithm to lock people in. Instead we just have blogs and microblogs and links and boosting and sharing and nothing's a walled garden and everything's a level playing field and…

    A lot of his image comes from a wildly inaccurate obituary written by his friend and literary executor Rufus W. Griswold, when Poe died in 1849

    @TheConversationUS @bookstodon I'm not a frequent nor well-informed connoisseur of poetry, but I love Poe and always feel a special sense of emotional connection as I read his work. "Alone" is one of my favorite poems of all time.
