As per your edit, what do you mean it’s a a buggy mess on iOS? I haven’t experienced any issues, aside from too many ads and the feed is shit. Like I can watch one video about something new, like camping, and boom all i see is camping videos. Used to recommend fun educating content but now it’s a mess.

So me it’s never done it on loads of videos, maybe one a month I’d be on a video that kept playing when I went to check a message or something.

I worked for Apple in the UK and retail workers there were paid more than any other retailer. We got stock every year, massive discounts, free services, private healthcare and more.

I worked the Genius Bar and we got paid even more and as a Technical Specialist it was essentially just customer service with some diagnostics.

I loved my three years there, it was hard work, but the days went incredibly fast if you could be a fake extrovert and loved talking to customers and going from one to the next.

I may be biased as working there changed my life so much. Through the healthcare I got diagnosed with ADHD and subsequently made some incredible changes to my life and now I have my dream job as a software developer due to their encouragement to improve yourself. It helped to be surrounded by people that were very talented outside of work, like artists, photographers, musicians, etc. at first I felt out of my depth as I felt like an imposter, I’d had 50+ jobs before there and I was a lower class in terms of education and where I came from.

One thing I will say is that a lot of staff who had only ever worked there were a bit spoilt and complained about things I never would as compared to every job I had before it was like heaven. They actually trusted us, gave us autonomy and really cared.

I had a breakdown after quitting Xanax and the level of support I received was second to none.

I was also blessed as the GB manager was a really good dude and he would go to bat for us all at any point and didn’t take shit.

One time a customer clicked his fingers at the manager and he was like who you clicking at I ain’t a dog lol.

They would back you up too, if I was saying no to a customer. Like no the iPad screen didnt just break on it own and they escalated they would 99% of the time back you up. Where call centres would be like these are the rules but every time someone complained they be like yeah bro we will bend the rules for you.

Thanks for the reply. A few people have mentioned using your old board, when you upgrade, as a server and I like that idea a lot as it really does cut down on the waste when the parts can still serve a purpose even after you’ve upgraded.

I could be mistaken, but I’ve used old screens from laptops before. You just need to buy an LCD (or whatever display type) controller board.

You just need to check the model number for the display, then search for a board that is compatible with that.

Yes, I imagine it more fiddly than upgrading a desktop. I’ve never really been in to buying laptops as they don’t have good upgrade options. I did have an M1 MacBook Pro and that was amazing, but they hold their value so well and I got it almost have price on discount it was a no brainier to sell it after a year for about the same I got it for.

What the IDF is doing is terroristic, as is what Hamas has done. So either you’re for terrorism or against it, you can’t say it’s ok for one side and not the other.

The fact is Israel is an apartheid state and they have been stealing land for decades. What would you do if you were a victim of this?

Furthermore, the hostages could have been returned many time with any one of the ceasefire deals on the table, but the Israeli government want blood not the hostages.

Edit 2: It appears my comment was reinstated after I provided a source to counter the misinformation report. I would expect better of the mods to do some due diligence before just censoring comments. There is enough of this in the MSM and it does nothing to further allow people to see what is happening. Thank whichever mod undid the action, hoping it was little_cow but not sure.

Go have a look at maps over the decades of how much land has been stolen. Regular bombing etc.

I don’t need Apple going on about LGBTQ+ in my country when it’s already accepted here. It’s funny how in the places where it should be promoted like Saudi or Russia that they keep quiet there.

I used to work for Apple and I’d raise these points in the daily meetings on the shop floor. It’s the same for green shirts to celebrate Earth day, by manufacturing green shirts and then shipping them around the globe. It’s all a facade.
