Justice Merchan starts off will the prosecution motion for contempt.

He tells Trump he's about to issue his ruling, in which he will again find Trump in contempt of court.

The last thing I want to do is put you in jail, Justice Merchan says to Trump. You are the former President of the United States and possibly the next President as well.

But "going forward," he continues, "this court will have to consider jail sanctions" if necessary.

@GiddingsMJ @GottaLaff I still mask too. People have forgotten Covid completely, look astonished that I'm masking. (Yesterday I even masked while walking on our main street - I have such bad pollen allergies, why not? LOL)

It means I don't attend any indoor networking event, especially with food. It's a shame. But this brain is the only one I've got and I really need it.

I've also heard that dairy milk calcium isn't as well absorbed as once assumed. For kids, of course, it matters. But I stopped getting my calcium from milk many years ago ¯\ _ (ツ)_/¯

@Snowshadow @GottaLaff a nutritionist I follow pointed out that the ones made from grains (oat, rice) are carb-heavy and can mess with blood sugar/insulin. So I went for almond - though I had to hunt to find one that''s UNsweetened.

@pmonks @GiddingsMJ @GottaLaff once we get over being stared at, it does have advantages!

I also wear mine to vacuum, it reduces my horror at the pollen I'm kicking up (despite the hepa filter).

Edit: I have a [breathe] mask, and was using aerosol filters for covid. When I read the eildfire smoke forecast for Ontario this summer, I ordered some PM2.5 particulate filters. Better for pollen, as well. 👍

@pmonks @GiddingsMJ @GottaLaff my problem with being stared at is that (as a life coach) I'm highly attuned to body language and people's expressions. I try to turn it off in public, but it's harder when it's directed at me.
Yesterday, at a rally for the environment, I noticed I am getting better at ignoring it, and congratulated myself, LOL. It seems to become just part of life for me now.

@GottaLaff @stephanie @Snowshadow so many people take carbonate, which is like ground stone, right? Cheap, but not assimilable. The new mineral formulations with biglycinate are also good. My iron and mag are -biglycinate, and my doc likes that.

@GottaLaff yep, just checked the almond milk I ordered. Calcium carbonate. Good call. I'll see what other options I can find.

Elmhurst oat creamer (very expensive, and went bad in my fridge very fast).

@GottaLaff @Snowshadow dunno. I'm not drinking it for the calcium, so I prefer one without that additive. When I drank soy milk, I also used a French brand without calcium (or sugar) added. It was just soy beans, water, salt (maybe added gum for texture?). It was lovely!

@GottaLaff @Snowshadow so … I bought the Silk half-and-half "cream" (it's oat and coconut, no added calcium). Put it in my hot coffee and … it curdled? Oops, fridge door was ajar last night :-(

¯\ _ (ツ)_/¯ tasted normal, tho. Well, like oats, not cream. Will take some getting used to.

@GottaLaff @Snowshadow LOL. The fat content is what I'm looking for, I like the mouth-feel in my hot drinks. And I avoid the calcium additives. So between you and me we'll keep all the varieties in business 🤪

@GottaLaff @JustJen it's as if what congress was doing inside the capitol on J6 was completely irrelevant 🤔 … Which, actually, suits alt-right purposes quite well: democracy is annoyingly cumbersome and should be ignored or circumvented. 😨
