@xabean fyi: my mom has macular degeneration. When she could still read, but it was getting more difficult, I put a dyslexic font on her kindle, and switched it to white text on black, with a really large font size. Suddenly, to both our astonishment, she could see whole words! It seemed to make it easier for her brain to process, somehow. Perhaps this can help in some situations 🙏🤞 .

@GottaLaff @zenheathen I find a lot of similarities between Californians ans Canadians - starting with the accent in parts of Cali. But also the courtesy, I think. Of course, differences, too!

    @mono I'm > 60, and when climate despair creeps in, I can lean on my own stories of hope, collaboration, beauty. But I fear that our young ones have known only this mess, and work like @susankayequinn's, like @pluralistic's, can give them their own stories to lean on - or lean toward - too.

    And, of course, I can add these stories to my own, too.

    It's interesting that our nervous systems don't seem to distinquish between a story lived and a story imagined.

    And our stories help us be resilient!

    Gov. Jared Polis has signed a bill into law mandating that election officials bring voting services to county detention centers and jails for statewide general elections.

    The statewide program is the first of its kind.

    Last night Mr. Laffy, the twins, and I celebrated:

    1- May 34th
    2- Finding a townhouse to put an offer on …in our preferred complex, exactly where we wanted to buy
    3- Being together again, in for realsies
    4- The rule of law working as it should

    Today I woke up (I actually didn’t sleep much) under the weather… which started yesterday but was trying to ignore. So, no Champagne today.
