Probably a female (as in might be a juvenile male, but given the time of year, probably the former) Satin Bowerbird.

There were two foraging in this tree by my dirveway this morning.

A different pair of Bush Stone-curlews, eye me warily as I take their photo on Friday arvo.

A pair of my local parrots I saw while checking the mail at lunchtime today.

A Pale-headed Rosella (one of a pair that took off as I approached); and an Australian King Parrot (male) who watched me as I walked back up the driveway.

A largish red parrot (with green wings, just visible on the sides) sits in tree and gives me a serious case of side-eye as I walk up the driveway below.

A curious Torresian Crow I came across yesterday morning.

It was having a drink at the lake edge, and when it heard my camera shutter it started looking around.

Another Tasmania shot from last year. A magical few minutes spent with the endangered Swift Parrots feeding on the side of the road at Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, Tasmania.

Haven't shot much recently, so here's a throwback to our Tasmania trip, with a previously unreleased image of a Tasmanian Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis ssp. lateralis).

This juvenile Dusky Moorhen was swimming with its parents but constantly calling (the parents were having none of it though).

Look who was back in the backyard this morning.

Yep, our little Swamp Wallaby. Happily munching on grass, grass seeds and broad-leaf weeds.

I disturbed her when I popped downstairs and she bounded off a few metres, but I explained to her there was nothing to fear and she patiently waited for me to go back upstairs before continuing her grazing.

A Swamp Wallaby, turned to face the camera, ears pricked at the sound of the camera shutter.

An Eastern Yellow Robin pauses briefly on the bird perch in my backyard yesterday.

A lone Hardhead (dark brown duck with white eyes) was swimming around on the lake yesterday. This morning though, there was a Bush Stone-curlew hiding under a bush, and some Dusky Moorhen chicks learning to forage from their parents.

Our little wallaby was in the front yard again when I was leaving for work.
