I mean it makes sense when you think about how the circles arrange in an infinte square and e.g. 4r square. There has to be some fuckery between the perfect packing and the small square packing. You can see a triangle of almost perfect packing in the middle of the 49 circle square, surrounded by fault lines in the structure and then some more good packing, and garbage in the bottom.

Is cube a simple shape in physics? It' 3-dimensional and It's gonna do all sort of crazy flips due to aerodynamics and moment of inertia. I would prefer a 1-dimensional point like cat.

More and more I get to be the first person in the world with a specific problem, because no one else has used this tech with this environment configuration. Developing a solution is sometimes satisfying, but it's sometimes hard explaining to the PM / customer why such a seemingly simple thing can take months to implement.
