Feral outlaw and natural anarchist not often inclined to do as I'm told. I am a student of anarchists, free spirits and self-organisers throughout culture and history.

This account is supportive of gender diversity and for freedom of consenting sexualities. I am pro slut and a promoter of cooperative promiscuity. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ 💛🤍💜🖤

Stonehenge is literally just some old stones yet you will sincerely get people who care more about that than the lives of millions of currently existing people.

Just Stop Oil today sprayed a couple of the stones with harmless orange cornflour which will wash off without any damage at the first rain but there are people genuinely apoplectic about it.

We are a totally fucked species. Totally gone. Dead.

President Obama on the stakes of 2024: "What we're seeing now is a byproduct of 2016 where a whole bunch of folks, for whatever reason, sat out. They said, 'well, we're not enthusiastic, we're not feeling inspired, why bother'. And hopefully, we have learned our lesson. Because these elections matter in very concrete ways and we are now seeing how much it matters when it comes to the Supreme Court."

@GottaLaff Did Obama have anything to say on what politicians should be doing to inspire a desire to join in?

No, I expect not. He just expected us to rubber stamp the more of the same thats killing us all anyway.

@wdlindsy We've all paid a heavy price for ANY VOTERS William since that stupid way to organise societies was forced upon us.

Did anyone ever ask you to choose electoral democracy? Because no one has ever asked me.

Whoever you vote for gets violently imposed on everyone.

Not my idea of a good life.

When bigots tried to stop men being or in the 80s, when there was no Internet, did men stop being gay and bisexual?

No, they did not.

So why do stupid bastards think they can stop people being or when there is an Internet now?

Because they are dogmatic, stupid and controlling as fuck. And wrong.

Rishi Sunak to strip GPs of right to sign people off sick

http://archive.today/2024.04.19-062257/https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/rishi-sunak-gps-sign-people-off-sick-ill-rr353jstv

GPs face being stripped of the right to issue sick notes, as the prime minister says doctors are too readily writing people off as unfit for work. Specialist teams linked to the benefits system will instead assess the sick and decide how best to keep them in work.

Be afraid, very afraid. Those will be the same private companies who have already stripped benefits with no due concern.

@stuffjolikes @Wen If you create a way of life which causes mental ill health, you do not resolve it by victimising the victims.

But none of these people care. A "Devil take the hindmost" society.

You might find it amazing that a supposed medical report into the treatment of trans people didn't interact with ACTUAL TRANS PEOPLE. (It did interact with plenty of antis and treated them as neutral and reasonable.) But so much did NHS England's Cass Report not interact with actual, real trans people that it resorted to generating AI pics of them.

These bigots are literally making up people to get mad at.

My discipline, anthropology, is not seen as "growth" disciplines, and departments are being closed down. But the world needs Anthropology and Anthropologists now more than ever!

Here are my 8 reasons for this:

  1. POSSIBILITIES
At a time of polycrisis, when the destructive fallouts of capitalist modernity are ever more apparent, anthropology highlights that there are myriad alternative ways of thinking and living; that there is so much to learn from other peoples in the world. 1/n

I fear Pauline that you have described perfectly all the reasons why politicians would look to erase anthropology. It threatens their singular view of the world.

“Rep Andy Kim, Dem running for #Senate in #NewJersey against the state’s first lady, filed fed lawsuit that seeks to redesign the ballot before June’s contentious primary election, arguing the current layout unfairly benefits candidates supported by party leaders.

The complaint aims to topple NJ’s longstanding ballot-design process, which is unique to the state, by asserting it violates the constitution and permits voters to be “cynically manipulated.”

@GottaLaff The whole point of elections is to "cynically manipulate" voters!!
