Hi all! Long time Star Trek fan here with my first post. I'm gonna start out by saying that I promise I'm not a hater of Discovery at all. It just has done nothing for me and from what I read, has not made any changes that would have solved my personal issues with it. I'm fine with others liking it and honestly wish that I did...

I watched Discovery after finishing SNW season 2.

That first season of Discovery was rough but season 2 gets going right and proper.
I hated Saru but now they're my GOAT.

I say watch one episode of each.

Psilocybe cubensis (cubes) are prob what you're thinking of because they grow like weeds.
But there's hundreds if not thousands of Psilocybe alone.
We estimate the species of fungi number in tens of millions.

My friends and I were trying to figure out how to set up an isolated WWW resistant to censorship and found identi.ca.

We set up an instance but never federated and used to to send memes to each other for years.

I did create an account on one of the federating services but it was rough back then. No one was tagging their post languages so it was like 10 or so different languages mixed together. I loved it.

Usually when I make these "is it cyberpunk" posts, I try to pick movies that are popular enough that I can assume most people have already seen them. I'm not sure if Summer Wars is at that level but I wanted to ask this question anyway. Because really, there's only one aspect to this movie that could be considered cyberpunk...

The only way that neighborhoods can protect themselves from gentrification is through community land trusts.
These are horribly complex to setup and require the purchase of property which is very time consuming.
The communities that need CLTs the most are the least likely to have the resources to form one.

Yah I've asked a few real estate agents and lawyers the difference and I still can't reconcile them.

I'm look at establishing one in Anacostia to build the area up without pushing out the wonderful public services here.
