I don't know if I could ever deal with (American) upstairs neighbors again in my life. The percentage of inconsiderate people meeting the percentage of multi-family housing with basically no soundproofing is a recipe for sleeplessness and rage.

Things are becoming more depressing every day and I can't afford for professionals and don't want to jump to the last resort or drugs. Is there a medicine that can make me happy if I take it in proper doses and does not require a doctor's prescription?

Wow, did you miss the point. Yes, I was pointing out that ephedrine--a medication--is a drug.

And no, it is not as safe as you make it out to be. I have both "done my research" and spoken with a couple of physicians about it.

You have completely misunderstood this entire conversation. I just said that medications are drugs. Are you high? Is that why you can't figure out basic statements?

Android users who have a keen eye for design and detail, how is the whole stutter/lag situation? Esp. after a few years of use?

I haven't used an Android device since my last one, the Galaxy S8. Beautiful hardware, beautiful design, but it was plagued with animation stutters and dropped frames. I switched to an iPhone and an iPad around 6 years ago. And the animations were buttersmooth. It was almost unthinkable to achieve such a fluid interface on any...

Oh sure, this is obviously extremely anecdotal. I am on the closer to Gen X side of millennial, so I'm sure that will impact my experience as well. And then, of course, there are always outliers.

There's no reason I should fear these now, but I was hit by a car back when I was in college (nearly 20 years ago now), and I had no health insurance and couldn't pay any bills. I was already barely affording to eat.

So, almost every single call I got was related to a bill that I knew I couldn't pay. And they were relentless. The trauma of that has stayed with me to this day and I will often leave voicemails which are perfectly innocuous unlistened to for days, weeks, eternity....

That kind of stress just stays with you.

This also extends to opening the mail.

That's me except that I'm not in a poor neighborhood (firmly lower middle to regular middle class).

I've been poor, I've been hungry. Now that I'm not broke, I donate to causes and I buy food for anyone begging outside a grocery/convenience store. No one should be hungry for more than a few hours. No one should have to worry if they can buy diapers for their baby or food for their pet.
