The orangutan's trial has resumed and once again I'm glued to the blow-by-blow reporting by @GottaLaff. With court now in recess for lunch, it's time to post.

Taken a few weeks ago, here is a picture of one of the courtrooms at the James R. Browning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Yes, this place is as serious as it appears here.

Dozens of fed judges attended wk-long seminars at luxury retreats -receiving free rms, free meals, free $ for travel worth 1000s - & failed to fully disclose as required.

Judges w disclosure issues incl some big names.

Aileen #Cannon, currently presiding over #Trump’s docs case, attended 2wk-long seminars at lux resort near Yellowstone Nat Park...failed to upload disclosure w/in 30 days as required.

Court said it was an “inadvertent” omission.

Digging through my Lightroom catalog, I noticed this one was a five minute six second exposure, which is unusual for impatient me.

Anyway, here's the Bay Bridge.

The western span of the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge. Taken at night, it is a swoopy suspension span with twinkly lights on top of the cables and amber streetlights on the car deck. The lights are reflected in the bay waters. Two dozen pilings from an old pier jut out a foot or so from the water, lit with a pop of an off-camera flash.

    Oooh, I checked all the boxes! Achievement level unlocked!

    Add: on Mastodon, I frequently check to see where a person is located... it helps orient me when they post something about news, politics, and events.

    On the old birdsite, I would also look for hints about political affiliation... which helped me decide whether to block them because of something they posted :)

    Looking like sprouts for a salad, but orange-stemmed and angry... a clump of moss spore-makers appears to be engaged in battle. Leaping like flames battered by wind, the clump rises up at an angle, in riotous disorder, attacking and shouting like they were staging a bloody coup. Taken with a Sigma 105mm macro lens at f/2.8, meaning there's lots of blurry shit and only a few focused bits.
