Bibliothek Frankfurt/Oder um halb zwei, am 18.08.2023

Das Bild zeigt: Ein öffentliches Gebäude in Frankfurt Oder, Am Eingang steht in großen Lettern "Bibliothek". Das Gebäude weist zur Straßenseite / zum Platz 18 Vollgeschossfenstereinheiten mit je 6 Fenstern auf, die in je 6 Fensterkassetten aufgeteilt sind. Darüber hinaus weist das Gebäude 6 Gaubenfenster auf mit zwei einreihigen und vier zweireihigen Fenstern mit je 3x3 Kassettenfenstern und im Erdgeschoss jeweils 6 Ausstellungs- bzw. Schaufenster mit jeweils einem Spitzbogen, in welchem 10 vertikal verlaufenden langen Rechteckkassettenfenster als Oberlichter und unter diesen ein großes Zentralfenster angeordnet sind. Zwischen den Fensterreihen sind Säulen aus Kalkstein als reine Verzierungen angedeutet. Das Gebäude stammt architektonisch vermutlich aus der Zeit Ende 19.- Anfang 20. Jahrhundert und weist ein Walmdach auf. Im Hintergrund hinter dem Gebäude sieht man einen Turm im gleichen Stil und seitlich links ist das grüne Gezweige und Laub eines Baumes zu sehen. Vor dem Gebäude ist ein Brunnen mit einer Bronzefigur darauf und zwischen Brunnen und Gebäude stehen zwei Sitzbänke, von denen eine grell gelb und eine knallrot ist. Daneben am Fahrradständer mit neun Befestigungsrohren ist ein blaues Herrenfahrrad befestigt. Das Bild ist in der hier gezeigten Größe und Auflösung unter BY-NC-SA-4.0 lizenziert.

    One of my favourite "windows", one of my favourite views

    A view of a lush green field under a partly cloudy sky, framed by the rustic brick opening of an old structure. The perspective is from inside the building, looking out at the expansive farmland, which stretches out to the horizon. The bright blue sky and the vibrant greenery create a serene and picturesque scene.

    2009: Eine braun-gelb getigerte Katze sitzt auf einem grauen Mauersims vor einem geöffnetem Fenster. Darunter ragt ein eine grüne Markise ins Bild, auf der das Wort "Exposition" zu lesen ist, das im französischen sowohl "Austellung" als auch "Belichtung" bedeutet. 2009: A brown and yellow tabby cat sits on a gray ledge in front of an open window. A green awning protrudes into the picture below, on which you can read the word "Exposition", which in French means both "exhibition" and "exposure".

    I usually watch out of this window when I'm working, but here's how it looks from the outside.

The white blossoms contrast with the green leaves, climbing up towards the window which is slightly open, allowing a peek inside. This fresh and natural frame adds a serene and inviting touch to the building's exterior.

    This charming little arched window is in Bistrita, Romania. Since the lights are crown glass bullseye, I have a hunch that it’s 17th century.

    "Food Court" entrance at the once thriving "Regency" mall now in sad disrepair and empty, leaving behind the colors and architecture of the 1980s and 1990s.

    Beneath a bright clear blue sky, a curved shopping mall entrance with a front facing wall of mirror like windows. Despite the dirt and disrepair the windows clearly reflect surrounding scenery of buildings and plants, and also provide a glimpse of the grand colorful food court architecture inside the empty tomb like space.

    This friday's window has sixteen small single panes of glass. It is old, in a workshop from around 1900, built in red brick. The window is no larger than a normal house window with a curved upper edge. Inside the window we see many old signs in different types and colors with Norwegian text. One of them says that the breakfast break is between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. 🇸🇯 Fredagens vindu har seksten små enkle glassruter. Det er gammelt, i et verksted fra rundt 1900, bygget i rød tegl. Vinduet er ikke større enn et vanlig husvindu med en buet øvre kant. Innenfor vinduet ser vi mange gamle skilt i forskjellige typer og farger med norsk tekst. Et av den forteller at frokostpausen er mellom kl. 9.00 og 17.00.
