There is way too much sun today. Milli has retired to a north-facing window sill. I’d like to say it’s because she’s smart, but it’s actually because the neighbor’s cat has been hanging out in the shade over there. Maybe it’s a two-fer.
More baby from my irl timeline today: I spent a long time this morning watching and listening to this juvenile eagle through a little windowpane in the pines where eir parents built their eyrie. E was bleating a fair bit (parents were out hunting), then became totally absorbed in watching, fascinated, as a trio of white pelicans started wheeling overhead. E then began stretching and flapping eir wings excitedly, clearly wanting to be up there emself. 🥹 #FensterFreitag
I caught this little corner of my house being lit pleasantly the other day, so thought I'd share it for #FensterFreitag
I'm moving soon, hopefully, so it's nice to capture these moments for posterity while I'm still living here.
For me, there is little that is more inspiring than opening my bedroom curtains in the early morning and being greeted by this kind of stunning beauty.
This is why I keep a camera upstairs - these moments are so fleeting, but so very rewarding.
Sometimes I find myself casting around in my files for interesting window shots for a #FensterFreitag post. When I do, it's amazing how often I end up selecting something from France. The French really seem to have a way with such things...
