A few small patches of bioluminescent ghost fungus (Omphalotus nidiformis) out at Corunna, NSW after recent east coast low rains. Took a couple of photos just before midnight under pale moonlight.
It has been a few weeks since I last saw her in the yard, but today is overcast and occasionally rainy, so in one of the gaps between the rain, she's popped down to our yard for a feed. Today's menu seems to be grass seeds and after these photos, the broad leaf weed that grows in the lawn.
A lone Hardhead (dark brown duck with white eyes) was swimming around on the lake yesterday. This morning though, there was a Bush Stone-curlew hiding under a bush, and some Dusky Moorhen chicks learning to forage from their parents.
