The vastness of space is rendered in dark textured blue, with a shimmering holographic quarter-disk representing the sun in the top right corner. A thick black outline separates the two. Blues and warmer colors form layers of cloud and ocean. A starburst-like texture covers the top right quarter of the piece and radiates out towards the lower left, where dusty rose ink was accidentally spilled across the piece, then covered by other inks and paints.     The unique texture and starburst is a testament to the permanence of Ferris Wheel Press professional calligraphy ink—I spilled most of a bottle of Sweetbriar Rose across this painting while in progress, hence the title. 😂😭 (no really I cried. Then I mopped it up, let it dry, and changed my approach.)

    American Bald Eagle portrait is a watercolor painting in landscape format painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. It shows the head and upper body of a bald eagle sitting and looking to the right. While the background and the plumage of the bird of prey are depicted in an abstract way with loose expressive brushstrokes, the head is painted in a more detailed and realistic way. The white feathers of the head and the strong yellow-orange beak stand out clearly against the background in various shades of blue from turquoise to indigo and the dark brown feathers of the body and are emphasised by this colour contrast and light-dark contrast.

    The grizzly bear’s scientific name is Ursus arctos horribilis
    Ursus is Latin for bear
    Arctos is Greek for bear
    Horribilis is Latin for terrible or dreadful
    So the grizzly’s name translates to “Bear Bear Terrible”
