Oh, yes. And putting up Matt Kean as the new chair of the Climate Change Authority is a stroke of genius. Want to get up Dutton's nose? They will be having a meltdown over this.

Former Liberal NSW treasurer Matt Kean named new chair of Climate Change Authority

“This is basically the whole climate thing in a nutshell.

Rich people setting fire to the world we love. Incendiaries from a yacht. The obscenity of it.

When people realise just how badly they've been played, there will be deep, generational anger.” -

People are dying while oil companies are allowed to keep drilling.

Last year the world saw record breaking CO2 emissions despite the lip service paid at COP 28, COP27, COP....

The rich think they can shield themselves from the worst of it in their super yachts.

Disruption is all we have left for our collective survival. Those in power are content watching people die. We must disrupt and do so in solidarity.

Cantabrian sea water temperature is also warm this year, which makes it 2 years in a row for a sea that used to have quite cold waters. Now it feels like the Mediterranean.
What's your first hand experience?

Shocking moment. This is one of the only 4 beetles, which have dwelled in my forest between 15. April and 21. June! Cold or hunger killed this one. Météofrance is telling us, this has been the 4th rainiest Spring on record. But this one came after too many bad breeding seasons and only 2 after the heat dome. Beetles could not breed this year. There will be no ground fauna in 2025. This is it. Soil insects are passing away here.

This plot was created in 2019 for recording insects change with climate change. I never figured out, I would record the very moment of insects disappearing. 1/3

Could those of you posting news about climate change please include hashtags or words that describe the topic for example ?

That makes it possible for people who aren't able to manage that topic, to filter out those posts instead of blocking or unfollowing you and not seeing anything you post.

Some of us are already convinced that we should do everything we can to slow down climate change, but we're struggling with despair and depression, and the relentless stream of doom news is difficult to manage.

Not asking you not to post about climate change.

Not even asking you to use content warnings.

Just asking you to include words that describe the topic of your post, that people are likely to filter for.

I have conscious memory of this change in Dublin’s weather since 1981 (when I started noticing things like weather).

It is, in case we ever lose focus on it, the main story of our lives- the backdrop against all the things we’ve seen and done and will see and do in the future.
