I took some time to catalogue all my tabletop gaming work in my own library - now all easily searchable and explained, with links to where you can get hold of each item: https://hughlashbrooke.com/gaming/
So is the Open Gaming License 1.0a going away? Or, is it generally accepted that 3.5e is still open for use and redistribution provided the license accompanies it? I can't find any case law on it... Has it ever been litigated? I'm sure I could make plenty of educated guesses as to the meaning of each clause, but it would be helpful to read about past issues that arose between third parties and WotC. #TTRPG#DnD#DungeonsAndDragons#RPGs#OGL
"I've had amazing friendships start and grow here, and incredible ideas spring forward from my mind, as well as some of the most moving sessions of gaming in my recent life. I want that for more folks, and encourage anyone thinking of going to GO!" - @goblinprincete#TTRPGs#RPGs
I have launched a service for TTRPG creators called Lore Library. I will build a public, searchable catalogue of all available content for your game, that you manage and grow. It will be tailored to your needs and designed to your game's theme. You will have full control over all content in, and there is no limit to how many items it can include.
If this sounds interesting, or you know a game that could benefit from this service, check out the website: https://lorelibrary.co
If any other TTRPG creators would like one for their game and third-party content catalogue, please reach out! I'd love to work with more creators to help you support your game community.
#Introduction: Hello, I am #new here! I was on #Diaspora for quite a few years but it was a very small community. Mastodon seems larger and more dynamic.
I'm mainly here to chat about #RPG games. I have been playing #DnD since the #1980s, starting with Moldvay #Basic and Keep on the Borderlands. These days I am mostly playing #DCC, but also enjoy Call of #Cthulhu, Traveller and #OSR games.
Besides #RPGs, I like British comics, especially #2000AD and its spin-offs. And #cycling.
I use Canva for almost all my layout work and then take it over to Affinity Publisher for anything I'm taking to print. Very relevant to the TTRPG space (and plenty of others).
Working on a Mausritter adventure for the Tiny Tails Patreon that involves an alchemist (alchemaus!), and having a ton of fun thinking up interesting potion effects.
Inspired by the Wild Magic Surge table in D&D (so you'll know what it is if you're familiar with that), it gives a small chance to trigger a random, unpredictable, and entertaining magic effect after casting a spell, with a table of 50 unique effects to roll on.
I thoroughly enjoyed writing this table and coming up with interesting and fun effects. It can be easily adapted into other games.
