So is the Open Gaming License 1.0a going away? Or, is it generally accepted that 3.5e is still open for use and redistribution provided the license accompanies it? I can't find any case law on it... Has it ever been litigated? I'm sure I could make plenty of educated guesses as to the meaning of each clause, but it would be helpful to read about past issues that arose between third parties and WotC. #TTRPG #DnD #DungeonsAndDragons #RPGs #OGL

@berkough the OGL 1.0a is still in use. WOTC did not attempt to revoke it and said they will not:

It has not been brought to a court so there is no case law. To my knowledge, WOTC has not gone after anyone who properly used any previous OGL-released SRD.

Publishers continue to use the OGL because of the chain of connection with previous OGL released products. If you’re using material from another OGL released product, you too must use the OGL.

@slyflourish I do remember seeing this post float around. Wasn't sure if things had changed in the last year and half. Thanks for sharing though, I appreciate it!
