Finished my huge haunted house quilt! It got kinda wonky, but, well, it's a haunted house. I called it "Bats bats bats" from a hilarious report on bats my oldest wrote in elementary school. Learned a ton, and I love it. :)

My mom entered her quilt in the local guild show this year and I couldn’t be more proud of her :)

The finished Cat Quilt! Mom likes it and was also very taken with the little tote I made her. "I'm going to take it to yoga, they're going to think it's so cute."
Her comment after laying it out to take these photos was that it's huge! Yes, mum, that's why it took me about three times as long as I thought it would. 😆
But it's done and where it belongs now!

Side view of the same, to show the edge that slopes off the bed edge. There are satisfyingly meeting corners and a bit of whimsical staggering of the blocks. There is dark blue sashing that ties it all together like frames in an album.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is quilt week here at my art business, this is the latest one my mom e-mailed me photos of last week, really vibrant and colorful, this one is titled 'Caribbean Waters' and is made with batik fabrics from Indonesia, it measures 54 x 54 in (137 x 137 cm), this one is available, lots of great energy in this one; if anyone is interested, please let me know! ~

Finished the 12 blocks I was working on. This layout is called "Timberline.

It's a scrappy log cabin quilt & was designed to be created from 1 "Jelly Roll" (pre-packaged set of 40 strips, 2.5 inches by 44 inches, in complementary patterns).

Two would have yielded more choices for light tones.

These blocks are 14 inches, to this is a nice lap robe size, 42x56, even before adding a border.

Next step is to sew these together, then add to my (evergrowing) "to be quilted" pile.

52 x 58.5 inch (132 x 149 cm) , made by my mom, check it out, this one is a really cool traditional style one but done in a cool modern way. Perfect for springtime! Its never been used, my mom made it years ago + it's been in storage until recently. Last year she started going through her storage trunks and photographing stuff for me to post and find homes for them. Msg me if interested, it's affordable in addition to being beautiful!

The great 2024 has turned up this. It’s a washable colouring in map thingy. I’m very tempted to turn it into a small quilt. Maybe with flags around the outside as a border? Could maybe colour in the critters with embroidery? 🤔
