Another pattern of invertebrates for but this time from the Cambrian Period (from 538.8 to 485.4 million years ago). This pattern is made from my linocut animal prints with collaged washi papers. The spiky handprinted Wiwaxia, a soft-bodied animal covered in scales & spines lived in the early & middle Cambrian period and fossils are found worldwide, including in Canada’s Burgess Shale.

Uncanny artwork by mother nature. This foliage had grown on the rear window of our car during my working hours yesterday, with nothing out of the ordinary in the weather (–5°C and cloudy) to explain it. Yet in some subtle way the conditions must have been just right for it to occur.

This is the dancing stack that led to the kaleidoscopic version I posted earlier. Look how pronounced that sway becomes by the third repetition of the dancing pair?!

There's MATHS going on there, unless I'm very much mistaken.

I'm not great with numbers, but have always loved fractals and patterns, and I sort of like knowing there's an equation that would make sense of my multi-coloured tower of nonsense.

A stack of 6 simple dancing figures; each atop the others head. There are two different dance moves, one which involves a light bobbing up and down and another with a slight sway. They repeat up with the sway emphasized so it's quite significant at the top. They have rainbow coloured traces so it's like a swaying rainbow tornado. Or something like that anyhow.
