Mary Morton just landed on my list of sewing heroes —

Feels like the right day to repost this quilt

(In case you didn’t hear yet, fixed the broken I — https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasas-voyager-1-resumes-sending-engineering-updates-to-earth)

Voyager II themed quilt. The background is navy with wavy metallic thread quilting. Along the left side, from top to bottom, pieced letters read KEEP GOING with the “O” replaced by an embroidered Golden Record. In the lower right corner is a pieced image of the spacecraft. To the left of the “P” is embroidered an pale blue dot and the “P” itself has a long tail that reaches to the center of the spacecraft’s dish, like a communication between Voyager and Earth
