"I was arrested again inside of Congress for speaking out against U.S.-backed genocide"
"While they are arresting peace activists for exercising First Amendment rights, they are making plans to host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—a war criminal with an actual arrest warrant request from the International Criminal Court"
Critics warn the U.S.-constructed pier off Gaza's coast is being used for military purposes. Now a source in the Gaza resistance says there are indications it will be used to facilitate the forced displacement of Palestinians.
The UN Security Council approved a US-drafted resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. All members voted in favor, except for Russia's abstention. The resolution follows Biden's announced three-stage ceasefire and prisoner exchange plan from last week.
And freaking US didn't even voted for their own proposal.
It's so freaking ridiculous I had to double check it.
"The poll asked, “Regarding the situation with Israel and Hamas, which one of these should the US do or not do now?”
Sixty-one percent of US citizens responded, saying the US should not send weapons to Israel."
"The poll highlights the weak influence of US public opinion and the strong influence of the Israel lobby and pro-Israel US officials over US foreign policy"
"The most distressing aspect of a massacre may be its portrayal in the media. Images of liberated Israeli captives circulated, statements lauded Israel’s success in freeing four people – but what about the 274 people killed?
Are we mere numbers? Is our blood so easily disregarded? Our suffering overlooked? The lives of Israeli captives deemed more valuable than ours? Why doesn’t the world see us? Why doesn’t the world feel?"
I'm so fed up with mods falling for the #aipac "holocaust inversion" bullshit, I'm going to start reporting all #Israel apologist posts as "supporting violent ideologies."
"by committing horrific massacres, was able to free some its hostages, yet it killed some others during the operation," al-Qassam Brigades' spokesperson, Abu Ubaida, said in a statement on his Telegram channel.
The actress Israeli-Palestinian Lama Tator, who hosts an Arabic culture program on #Keshet, shared a photo of Argamani after her release from captivity, commenting on appearance after long months in #Hamas captivity and the massacre the IDF carried out to release her and the others.
"Are these the faces of a hostage for nine months?" the actress wrote in a story she shared on social media. "Are her eyebrows more groomed than mine? Her skin? Her hair? Her nails? What's going on? And for her they need to kill and slaughter children, women, and innocents?"
"US intelligence was reportedly involved in supporting the Israeli mission (massacre), and the president, Joe Biden, welcomed the return of the four hostages."
"On 10 June...The Center for Constitutional Rights, representing plaintiffs Defense for Children International - Palestine (DCI-P), Al-Haq, Palestinians in Gaza and Palestinian Americans, will ask a panel of judges to reconsider the district court’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit seeking to stop the US government from transferring more weapons to Israel during an ongoing genocide"
Palestinians look at the aftermath of the Israeli attack on a UN-run school that killed dozens of people in the Nuseirat refugee camp [Ismael Abu Dayyah/AP]
Imad al-Maqadmeh, a wounded Palestinian boy, says his father was killed in the Israeli attack on the UN-run school.
“What did we do? There are no armed people in the school. There are children playing. We play together … Why did they bomb us?” he said, his face bruised and bleeding.
@poligraf@GeriatricGardener@palestine LOL...ANY action can backfire or have unintended negative consequences. That doesn't mean you don't try. And it might get #GenocideJoe to stop funding and arming fascist Likud's genocide. Anyway, don't worry. Nothing's going to happen to Bibi.
Remember the morons who said back in December that bypassing #congress to give arms to #Israel unconditionally would make it more compliant with #US demands?
The thing I hate the most is that apparently we all have to just watch this slow-walk into fascism. We all watched him try to steal an election. We all saw him foment an insurrection. Everyone who has any sense knows full well what the kind of people he surrounds himself with are capable of, and what they want to do to so many people in this country if given a chance.
And yet: almost no one really addresses this head-on and speaks in very clear terms about what the stakes are. Instead, I hear total bullshit like #BidenSoOld and #gEnoCiDejOe <- Do the clowns that keep going on about that seriously not realize that a donnie "presidency" might result in all kinds of blood being spilled within our borders?
"As conflation and confusion abound after 7 October, we need clear thinking about antisemitism"

"Palestine, as George Orwell pointed out in 1945, is a ‘colour issue’, and this is the way it was inevitably seen by Gandhi, who pleaded with Zionist leaders not to resort to terrorism against Arabs using Western arms".
