Let's recapitulate: A president who is supported by the most religious voters in the US, is entering a courtroom, where the press will be present, and a story about his extramarital affairs will unfold… with a porn star and a playboy model on the stand.
@randahl Unfortunately it doesn't matter at all to these "Trump-believers" whose support appears to be more of the nature of that from an adept of a sect towards the guru rather than from people able to THINK.
As Trump once said himself, he could shoot someone in the street and then walk down the street with the smoking gun in his hand, and these people would still support him anyway.
That's beyond any human logics: to them, supporting Trump is more along the line of some pavlovian reflex.
@randahl although the tale of trump is quite horrific in its implications for the state of US politics, I really can't help, as a Brit, chuckling quietly. I do feel for America though. All my life we've kind of looked to the states it's a heavy disappointment to see the troubles Americans are suffering.
@capnthommo I am not sure, all American voters realise the real brand value cost, the US has suffered because of this one person.
When I grew up, there was a huge respect for everything American. A clear turning point was when a spray tanned president showed up in the UN, and international politicians just laughed at him for being so endlessly self-absorbed and unintelligent.
@randahl The right-wing nationalists who call themselves Christian have proven time and time again that they care far more about politics then character or following the teachings in their own Bible.
They will support the crappiest people in the world as long as they publicly claim support for their own political stances.
