    @vampiress my first programming book was a badly photocopied version of “BASIC for the TRS-80” with half the pages missing or illegible and I had only a PC with GWBASIC and no graphics mode (MDA card) 😅

    @vampiress I had a different computer when I had some of those books too. Looking at all the different variants (I love how they marked the distinct lines with a set of symbols representing each system), and figuring out the equivalent in my computer's dialect, was I guess my first experience of "maintaining" someone else's code.
