Pres #Biden addresses the debate at a fundraiser in Virginia, according to the pool:
POTUS admitted that he did not have a good debate, said he "wasn't very smart" for "traveling around the world a couple times" before the debate.
"I decided to travel around the world a couple of times … shortly before the debate … I didn't listen to my staff … and then I almost fell asleep on stage."
@GottaLaff I kinda wish he had added at the end, “and did you notice that my opponent didn’t answer a single debate question from CNN? What’s his excuse?”
@GottaLaff same for Obama’s first debate in 2012. When you’re president and actually doing the job it’s hard to get up for debates…but it’s important. Also sounded like he was mildly sick and hoarse. And of course, a stutter happens more when tired.
