@GottaLaff better yet, some adequate #GunSafety regulations? #GunViolence is so US specific that the rest of the world shakes their heads and wonder who are the gutless politicians who can’t fix it
@GottaLaff I'm still reeling from the mass shooting a few towns over from me, at a splash pad some friends of ours are often at. Too many guns around, it feels like nowhere is safe to go 😔
@KnittingMittens Because there IS nowhere safe. We had a mass shooting (made the news) in my area a few years ago, and we lived in one of the “safest” cities in the country.

@GottaLaff the thing that sickens me is that people who insist they need a gun always claim that their individual right does not affect others. But their insistence means that others get guns and those others may kill them, or their family, friends, or community members.
With 1 in 15,000 Americans dying from gun homicide a year what if EVERY gun own was given a direct taste of the risk they are causing to others? So every year they are forced to play a 1 in 15,000 Russian roulette game.
