@alice Please permit me to tag onto your rant.
Builder installing an outdoor storage space mixed his cement on the flowering strawberry patch and killed the lot.
"Professional" "gardener" strimmed a whole flowerbed to the ground while mowing the lawn.
Different gardener razed the raspberry plants to the roots while they were in flower.
Helpful neighbour strimmed the herb collection... and they were in pots...
@alice I’m so sorry. I take it you don’t have the spoons to make them come back and fix what they broke? This is the kind of shit that got me to diy until I can’t. I’ve been maintaining the sprinkler system that came with our house for over 20 years. i’ve been trying to get the zone with 16 sprayers to work for three weeks. I know when i’m beat though and called a pro.
@alice Ugh. That sucks. Sorry to hear you're having deal with this.
You wouldn't think you'd need to call out the existence of hoses and the job they are performing to contractors (especially the frickin landscapers!!!), but yet, here we are in 2024 CE. SMDH.
@alice yeah it's ridiculous cheap for what it is. I think it's even cheaper than ruby dust (but I haven't checked). Never had cause to buy it loose myself so far.
@alice You should redo them in red first. Then afterwards, when they're scuffed up, and someone asks if your nailpolish was ruined, you can look confused and say "Nailpolish? That was the blood of my enemies..."
@alice wow, that's a new level of fucking stupid. Never contract them again! Should have been an immediate "we accidentally pulled up your hoses and we will promptly reinstall them"
@alice wow, that's so inconsiderate and unprofessional. Could you call the cable installation people and politely ask them to buy you a new hose? This shouldn't be emotional labor you need to do but unfortunately they at least need to know they messed up and compensate you.
Sorry this happened, I love flowers but I'm too lazy to grow them. Good luck to you!
