@GottaLaff I used to do research on fed judges and on their appt by presidents… this is huge. Historically, Dems haven’t put the emphasis on judicial selection that Repubs have. This is meaningful and lasting change.

@GottaLaff still lagging behind his predecessor. Durbin is continuing to honor the “blue slip” process, which lets senators from the state where the court sits weigh in on nominations. So Rs are of course stalling the process. McConnell completely ignored that and just turned the senate into a confirmation machine. Why honor non binding practices that the opposition ignores? Makes no sense.
