Only 11 #Republicans supported the move to “table” a measure by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), while 196 Republicans embraced keeping Johnson in the speaker’s job. #Democrats also overwhelmingly voted to save the GOP speaker, 163 in support of keeping him & 32 against doing so. The overall vote was 359 - 43, w/ 7 Democratic lawmakers voting present.
Dems saved the fellow who just said he’ll make sure Republicans do everything in their power to kneecap every court trying a Trump case because DJT “has done nothing wrong.”
They should’ve let Mikey “go through some things,” IMO.
Democrats support should be interpreted as support of normal order, not of Mike Johnson. Unfortunately, the media seems to deliberately misconstrue these things.
@mastodonmigration Nooooo not our buddies, our old pals the MSM. LoL I made this years ago to remind people what the media actually cares about and it’s not Dems or Democracy. , @KatM@Nonilex@JonChevreau
Look, hear me out... doing nothing is the easiest job in the whole world. Anyone, even dim-bulbed people, can do that.
And yet, she can't. Marjorie just had to pull the trigger because of a personal vendetta or something... even when it became clear that she was literally the only person in the room who wanted Johnson's ouster.
When she can't even "do nothing" right (not a typo, by the way)... that means her time in government is all but over.
@Nonilex
MTG must think a congressional Representative’s job is to do NOTHING but waste the people’s time and money in Congress. If indeed she thinks at all.
