Depends what's going on. Its very different if I'm in the design phase of a project or assembly and testing.

I really enjoy CADing and designing in general. And I'm fine writing documentation, procedures, assembly instructions. Pretty smooth for me.

Once production starts and things go wrong, we need to investigate, fix the issues, and sometimes we're chasings ghotsts. This is the stressful part. I'm currently in it, and I'm pretty stressed these days.

I use SyncThing on all my computers with my phone. I've setup my phone to just not sync certain folders with Ignore Patterns

Even if I can take care of myself, there is something quite comforting in that role reversal.

Doesn't have exactly the same.features but I've simply been using Logseq syncing my notes with Syncthing

Yes, that they're too leftist and are apologists.

This is what I do. I manage my music with MusicBee and sync a subset of the library to a folsee which is then synced with my phone.

t0fr ,
@t0fr@lemmy.ca avatar

I see the /s but you can always only sync a subset of your music.

I have not been quite satisfied with any of the self hosted streaming solutions or apps. There's always an annoyance I have with all of them.

Just using MusicBee and syncing a subset of my library to my phone has worked the best. Syncing it using SyncThing.

You can tell a shitpost is a shitpost when it is entirely wrong

MusicBee on PC

Vinyl Music Player on my phone

Local mp3s and flacs work the best

I dabble with YouTube Music and music-map.com for music discovery

Haven't found a nice self hosted music streaming setup that I'm happy with (unsatisfied with the apps and features). I want a nice looking app (super subject of course) that supports offline play and ReplayGain. I'm super happy with Navidrome but not with the Windows/Android apps

Which communities?

I've tried posting in metalcore, dnb, and phonk and the users don't get mad at me or anything but there's just not that much engagement.

I really wish it did not look like Spotify if I'm being honest.

Also, I think it's missing a button to shuffle a playlist? Instead of starting it from the first song.
It's predecessor SonicXD had it, but it's missing here.

I still miss Google Reader

And the internet as a whole moving away from RSS feeds in general is also not helpful

Unfortunately, I live on the second floor and winters over here have a lot of snow and such. I need my car.

Fortunately, I chose to live somewhere where I'm comfortable doing groceries by foot. So I can avoid using my car as often as possible.

Once I have my own garage, or my city comes up with some king of cargo bike share thing, and I get rid of my car, then I'll definitely use this super often.

Perhaps I should have clarified that I do have a bike, and I got the cheapest aluminum bike I could afford.
It's not that bad to carry down the stairs in the back

But I'll never be able to manage with a cargo bike

That feeling when you're googling the answer to some technical question, and your own Lemmy post appears 4 results down. ( lemmy.one )

Hopefully this kind of content is ok here. Up until recently, when I would be searching for some kind of technical info, the top (and best) results would usually all be Reddit posts. I was very pleasantly surprised to do that this time and find a Lemmy post instead!...

Pretty cool to start seeing Lemmy posts in search results

Agree. It is a stupid and antiquated idea.
Two things I'd like to say though:

One: you can probably set up some form of auto-type from your password manager to get around this issue.

Two: blocking pasting is probably because password managers and operating systems must be secure when it comes to the clipboard, and clipboard management. Because if that's not safe, your passwords you are copying and pasting are not safe.
