So now that Putin has killed so many young men, that birth rates are dropping catastrophically, Russian Deputy Minister of Justice Vsevolod Vukolov reports, that new laws will make it illegal for women not to have children.

@randahl Romania under Ceauşescu tried to increase the birth rate in the 1980s by banning contraception. The result was overcrowded orphanages and a lot of kids born with Aids.

Trying to distract myself just idly thinking that prime minister is a weird title, then started thinking about the word prime. Doesn't that mean not divisible by two? Looked it up and it's a number greater than one not divisible (or a product of) two smaller natural numbers or composite numbers. But then I find that two is a prime not a composite, despite being divisible by two ones, and 9 is a composite not a prime despite not being divisible by two numbers. WHAT IS HAPPENING?

TLDR - maths is stupid and so is the prime minister

    @pluralistic prohibiting someone from "operating or maintaining a sober living home" does make it sound like you have to be drunk all the time.
