    @alice My opinion is that art can be defined by the artist, the observer, or in an interplay between the two. If I think I am making art, it is art. If I think I am observing art, it is art. The interaction been myself as an artist and an observer also can change things. I might think it isn't art, but someone tells me that they think it is and why, and so my view and perspective changes. Art can be a conversation with myself, a conversation amongst others, or anywhere in between.

    So the World Central Kitchen convoy a) cleared its route with the IDF beforehand, b) traveled on an approved route, and c) departed at an approved time, so d) the IDF knew exactly who it was killing when it struck the convoy three (3) times.

    It was so obviously deliberate, and so deliberately cruel—not just to murder these people, but to terrorize other aid workers into abandoning the Palestinians to be starved to death. To prove the IDF’s impunity and reach, and to compel the IDF’s defenders into apologizing for yet another unforgivable atrocity.

    Termitophilous rove beetles live with termites in Australia. In order to solicit food from the termites the beetle has evolved a rear end that looks like a termite which it uses like a puppet to solicit food from it's hapless hosts.

    Rove beetles also mess with ants in a similar way, although nothing this elaborate.

    Are there therapists who specialize in helping children who are stressed out giving tech support to their parents?

    My mom is a mathematician. She can program w/ punch cards. But, she & Dad just don't keep up with tech anymore. Drives me nuts.

    Gave my dad an iPhone for Christmas. They HATE it. Probably would hate any phone. Now they say it's recording their conversations.🙄

    Dad holds down the buttons on the side when he picks it up. Activates the voice assistant... they think it's a hacker.

    @slothrop @futurebird Yes to this, but more generally. I ended up in a "tech psychologist" role when we were visiting my in-laws. What everyone else was worried about turned out to be a phishing attempt they could ignore. The thing that everyone else dismissed as phishing was actual evidence of credit card fraud for thousands of dollars and took a day of calls and visiting the police office to get it cleaned up. We expect so much of people just to get through their day.

    @alice @actuallyautistic This is fantastic! One thing I've been going through is "is it Bipolar?" I've taken all the same tests for autism as you have, and score high as well on many of them
