Kids are stupid xD. My bike memory like that is our parents for one of those BMX bikes from a garage sale. The ones with the bars coming out the wheels for tricks.

My sister, brother, and I decided those were for carrying additional people, so obviously having one driving, one standing in the rear, and one standing on the front would be fun. But in our infinite wisdom we decided going down the concrete driveway was a bad idea, so we decided to go down the dirt hill (which had a steeper incline).

We had one tame wipeout and decided to go for round two. This time we made it to the bottom of the hill (where the trees and branches/debris are) and wiped out. It wasn't pretty lol. No hospital but a few road rashes (or the dirt equivalent) and other various cuts and bruises led to us going inside to our mom for intervention.

She was not happy. The next day, the bike was gone.

The article is paywalled for me, so I don't know if this topic is mentioned in the article, but I'm curious - is this a case of manual rules / filters to prevent the answer, or the training data containing so much disinformation that the LLM basically can't make heads or tails of it?

I don't think it was designed to imply that. None of the language appears to steer the viewer to a specific conclusion, letting the viewer interpret it for themselves.

That being said, I would agree that the data itself represents both access to mental health care and culture (specifically, if that culture has a stigma against it).

I think some of the larger countries are not really useful in the dataset though. I'm curious how say, California and say, Alabama, would look in the dataset.

Holy crap I'm blind xD. I take it back, it does seem to portray the notion. Goes to show how subtle it is.

I've also had no negative experience with VPNs and Discord. This being said, I see two potential factors.

Accessing an account from a different IP and then changing the email on that account from that different IP can look like the account got hacked.

And the specific VPN being used could play a role (I'm not asking you to reveal that) - if the VPN is being used by bad actors, their IP ranges might be flagged as well.

Considering the problem with stolen accounts being used to send spam to their friends and the servers they're in, I can see why there would be automated logic to rate limit actions. The only real issue I see here is the appeal / support process just not being there, going by your other message about a lack of success appealing.

It is. It's just subscriber only: https://www.bostonherald.com/2024/06/03/absurdly-irresponsible-boston-city-council-again-weighing-cuts-to-the-police-department/

The first paragraph matches up, as does the author. I'm not invested enough to subscribe to see if the rest matches up.

I found it by searching "BPD" which is a coming acronym on the mirror article. It was actually my first try, almost missed it because of the dramatically different titles.

And yeah, they're gross.

When working with transient data, streaming it (as opposed to saving it to the disk first) is preferred to reduce clean up requirements.

The complexities involved, even with solutions, are just too much for current humans. Genetically engineering ourselves could work, though I'm more in favor of just digitizing ourselves ha.

I'll never forget the day I learned that "picture an apple in your head" or "picture the audience naked" wasn't just a saying and was literal.

Did they Photoshop his eyes like that or did he come factory new looking like a demon?

I happened to be able to see the 2017 one and it was so impactful I saved the date and made sure I'd make it happen. Cut forward 7 years and here I am with most of my immediate family (I have 6 siblings so having most is impressive).

It is an experience that can't be captured by any form of digital or physical media and my only way to describe it is - it's the closest thing to magic I've ever experienced.

I plan on saving up and going overseas for one as well.

Growing up my parents had a Jesus on the cross statue carved out of coal. Does that count?

Or those scummy click bait ads disguised as related articles? They make my blood boil with how they prey on the vulnerable.

Traefik is just a reverse proxy. All that really matters is the ports you have it listening on and your current, if any, reverse proxy. And even if your preference is say, nginx w/ npm (nginx proxy manager) that's not to say you can't just reverse proxy to Traefik (though not recommended).

I will say however that Traefik is not required for N8N, it's just an example in their docs. All it does is listen on port 5678, so you just use that port in your reverse proxy configuration. They do have a docker compose file without Traefik here: https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n/blob/master/docker/compose/withPostgres/docker-compose.yml

I do recommend this example docker compose though: https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n/tree/master/docker/compose/withPostgresAndWorker

That one spins up N8N with a worker that handles your workflows, which is useful if you want to scale up in the future. In any case either compose file would let you access N8N locally on port 5678, and the port can be altered in the compose file itself, where you change the left side to the port you want. https://docs.docker.com/compose/compose-file/05-services/#ports

I'm not actually and you tell from that. Did you follow a guide / what precise steps did you perform?

I work two jobs and have no days off but Friday is the start of not having to drive the next morning so yeah, in a way.

I found that same nugget just under a decade ago. Dropped off the dating scene to work on myself. It really made me reflect. I'm still working on myself and honestly I suspect I will be for a while to come.

Zikeji ,
@Zikeji@programming.dev avatar

When I first came across that wisdom I realized my desire in a relationship was to just pour myself into the other person, basically worship them. But not for their benefit, but to distract myself from myself. It's fairly easy to see how that goes wrong.

I'm still learning, and I've found even more stuff I need to work on, but either I get there or I don't, what matters if I never stopped trying.

Generally the country based TLDs have that problem. That isn't unique to porkbun or .de

Zikeji ,
@Zikeji@programming.dev avatar

I've been using Porkbun for over 5 years and haven't had any issues. I switched from a mix of Google Domains and Namecheap.

I had just assumed those were supposed to be visible. Like the lights the Xbox Kinect had.

But if they aren't, that's annoying lol. Same deal with hearing the high pitch frequency old CRTs would emit.

Zikeji ,
@Zikeji@programming.dev avatar

Yeah, I was using it as an example of annoying things fitting around the same niche lol.

Zikeji ,
@Zikeji@programming.dev avatar

No, I haven't heard this "general opinion". Any conversation I've been a part of or observed (which, to be fair, is less than a few dozen) has always defaulted to the driver being at fault.

I'm not sure where you live that the general opinion is victim blaming, but it doesn't sound like a pleasant place.

I bought my house back in 2021, and despite no renovations for myself or my neighborhood the property tax I've paid had gone up by just under 25% each year these last two years. I haven't checked the change in assessed value but I think this bill would make it sting less lol

Zikeji ,
@Zikeji@programming.dev avatar

Just because some people might break into my house doesn't mean I'll stop locking my doors.

It's a deterrent. Which is a pretty apt comparison for robots.txt and user agent blocking.
