The thing I like about Bogurt is that she just cant help but be hillariously unhinged and corrupt. If life was a comedy movie and not a tragedy reality she would be my favorite character for being too stupid to get anything right and just failing upwards anyways. Her and Marjorine Turning Greene would be good as co-antagonists (theres no good guys in this hypothetical movie) in an american pie style movie focused on gross cougars trying to reclaim their lost feelings of youth and relevancy

Sadly in reality she represents the rot of our society

Edit: forgot to add, they are so tone deaf they keep making Biden sound cooler and cooler. Why not just call him the Godfather at this point?

Individually doing atmospheric analysis for every planet in the galaxy is probably an impossible task for a civilisation confined to a single solar system. Here is my take on it. It all depends on if there is some sort of hard limit on how much we can accelerate an object with mass in space.

If we are capped at say, 25% of the speed of light we will most likely never meet our intragalactic neighbours. The times scales and distances involved are insurmountable and economically they would have no reason to attempt travel to another inhabited planet. The journey is too dangerous on many levels to be worth attempting. No reason to contact, no reason to fight, many closer resouces in our respective solar neighbourhoods that wont shoot missiles at us.

If we live in a universe that allows for FLT or even just 99.9999 percent of c then the alien overlords are already aware of us and are chill enough to leaves us be for the most part. So it really almost doesnt matter in my opinion.

I did love the 3 body problem trilogy, Liu Cixin is a master story teller.

You see, I myself was conflicted.

On one hand, I can see how repeated frequent personal tragedies of violence can break a person to the point that they hate everyone they see. I can sympathise with that, growing up I was the arbitrary target at school and at home most of the time. It brought me to some really dark places in the past. Things are much better now but it leaves a stain, it lurks.

On the other hand, she was explicitly warned that Trisolarans were looking to conquer a new planet and just flat out ignored it. I get being angry and depressed but willfully stupid in an otherwise smart person is much harder to forgive. I mean, she discovered ETI... become famous? Naaahhhh lets doom everyone because I'm mad at the government.

That scene really stuck with me

Too many people live in la-la-it-cant-happen-to-me-land and take that attitude with them behind the wheel. I think that to qualify for a drivers license one should be required to watch car crash footage and see pictures of the aftermath like you do in a good forklift safety video, because people really do not understand the relative forces involved with moving at a high rate of speed.

If I were smarter I would research the feasability of an astro-turf substrate that captures microplastics and forever chemicals while somehow not disrupting the petrachor and other microbes. Can a smarter capable person see this and run with it? My hope is that if I am thinking this then the really smart people already are.

I worked in produce as a quality inspector for a couple years. Organic generally just means lower quality for higher price. No one is regulating it as far as I know, they can just skip pesticides, do everything else the same and charge more for the same product that actually cost them less to produce. We refered to it as a hillarious scam when the boss wasnt around.

The real difference is pitbulls bite to kill, most other dogs dont. Any dog can get triggered, but certain breeds like bullies and dogos, ridgbacks, they bite to kill. It is as instinctual as a pointer pointing or a sheep dog herding.

Just watch a lot of footage of a shepard attacking a human vs a pitbull. The shepard generally goes for the arm or leg and the bully drags you down so it can go for the face and neck.

Heck, one time when I was driving a bully charged my van! I was doing 50km and he charged out, and bashed into my door! I didnt stop, and it didnt seem hurt it just went after the car behind me....

No, thats just the bullshit they use to justify it.

Anything not looking good enough gets sent to a secondary outlet and is sold as is with no organic labels. The stuff that is a grade below that gets juiced ( dont drink fruit juice that you didnt make yourself if you can help it...). They are not losing a single pennie, they are making out like thieves
