What mundane things of our era could be seen as beautiful or admirable in the future?

For example, buildings and houses more than a hundred years old keep getting more and more rare, and often have an aesthetic that stands out, more ornate or with a particular style that most people can't afford today or that is not financially convenient etc. But back in the day, that's how things were built and most people...

Shoutout to the Sythstrom Deluge.

Open source. Battery is easily replaced, it's an 18650. Packed with features and since it's gone open source the updates have really ramped up.

You know it's getting good updates when there's 45 minute videos scratching the surface of what's new in the beta.

This is a funny thing to focus on in light of his recent felony conviction.

We've all spit as we've talked, nothing novel about that. A felony conviction, now that's a pretty novel thing.

SpruceBringsteen ,

It's wild, but it raining on election day might have more an effect than anything that's happened recently.

Brandy is what you get when you distill wine.

Or you find out where Fort Rainbow Bridge is after one.

I guess my current events detox is working to some degree.

It's a true shame he's not here to document some of that change.

I know he'd have hated to see the way that covid decimated the industry in a lot of ways, but there's a story of what was lost that he'd have done some justice to.

SpruceBringsteen ,

I don't know. His death is wrapped in a whole lot of personal/domestic stuff as well.

I don't doubt he'd have hated the way covid affected the industry, but in NYC it kinda just accelerated the death cycle that most restaurants circle. He'd already watched his city Disneyfied.

Theres good advice on how to remove it here, but to keep it away you're probably going to need some sort of filter installed.

SpruceBringsteen ,

Time budget wise I'd allot myself an hour per page if doing a report, so long as I had all the research material on hand.

The Ohio River was once the border of the frontier. Some ways that border is still there.

Mongol invasion happened to coincide with a period of mild winters in Mongolia. That weird moment when you and all your neighbors have fifty horses and you're left wondering what now?

Watch the channel's other videos. One of my favorite on Youtube.

Keep wringing out that sponge for money, it definitely won't rip or tear at some point.

I find myself doing this to telegraph when I'm being sarcastic or facetious.

Or the 30 years of Rehnquist that helped set the tone for the fiasco we've got with the police today.

Unfortunately for you, we're not here for memes but pointless internet arguments.

PS i am less mad than you

Republicans Worry They Could Lose the House—Before the Election ( time.com )

When Republicans gained control of the House in November 2022, many in Washington wondered how they would be able to govern effectively with one of the slimmest majorities in history. Some Democrats even speculated if they might be able to take back the House before the term ended....

Because it might stop some Russians from doing the same to their neighbors?

Are you kidding me, I got boxes full of Vespers.

Russian nexus revealed during 60 Minutes Havana Syndrome investigation into potential attacks on U.S. officials ( www.cbsnews.com )

A lead U.S. military investigator examining reports of what has become known as Havana Syndrome told 60 Minutes he believes U.S. officials are being attacked by Russia and that the official threshold to prove it was set impossibly high....

They're the Pentagon. What realistic expectation is there for them to be truely candid on a topic like this?

SpruceBringsteen ,

I still reminisce about my Oink ratio. Seeded Rosetta Stone on a university connection. Access to the school's radio station's library.

Probably the closest I'll come to generational wealth, my grandchildren could have leeched music on my account and I'd still be positive.

Vanilla pudding mix in the dough for cinnamon rolls.

For the brown sugar cinnamon filling, sub some of the sugar out for honey. If you pick a honey with a unique taste, anyone who has them will be unable to pinpoint what makes yours so good.

SpruceBringsteen ,

This pretty much nails it, especially the bit about gluten development. You'd really have to work this dough to make it springy (which isn't what I'm after in mine). They're more moist than your typical dough. And a lot of dough recipes don't call for vanilla, which is a good addition imo.

Ukraine needs different weapons than what we send Israel even if I agree with the sentiment.

SpruceBringsteen ,

The last one is actually a real example, right?

SpruceBringsteen ,

They're not cheap, but you can definitely get a very capable laser set up nowadays that you could etch a non corrosive material with. Some are pretty cool and even are able to etch curved surfaces rather easily on the user end.

I've never seen it actually spelled out fourchan.

Just write forchan

Blame your building then because NYC has great water quality.

Partly? It's the barley malt they're boiled with that makes them famous.
