The life of an self-employed artist enduring late stage capitalism is such a weird thing to process

You're always ✨on✨ and, with each apps flying circus of algorithmic hoops to jump through, it feels like you're investing more and more energy for dwindling returns

I don't mean sales, though paying the bills is great and all

I've always been the friend who Listens and engages occasionally but authentically, and I remember an internet where that was valued

Today's Internet is just...noise.

That noise erodes the psyche as water shifts the soil

slowly reshaping
quite possibly permanently altering
often destroying

And feeling as though I'm a part of that
by means of necessity in order to survive
is a very strange thing to process and try to live with.

I am grateful for this life and chance
But
To spend your time making noise
when all you want from this life is to contribute
enhance
bring bits of joy into this life for others

is akin to swallowing shards of glass

Accidentally left my completely shut down drawing monitor on the charger last night, on my desk.

Woke up to it overheating
uncomfortably warm to touch
screen on
touch sensors tripping

Windows had attempted to update -- though, again, I specifically told it not to do so) and the fans never kicked on.

It seems fine, but goddamn it.

Now I'm worried it'll randomly decide to do that, entirely turned off (had been shut down for HOURS) when stored in it's case.

With skysite opening to the public, the spheres of social media are whirring at an higher whine than usual lately.

I'm sorry I haven't been engaging here like I should. Quiet observation, genuine interest, sharing and supporting is my natural communication style.
