In Oklahoma they are passing a law to mandate a Bible be in every classroom.

I don't have as much of an issue with this as I do with hanging the (Protestant Evangelical) ten commandments on the wall. The Bible, like many other religious texts is an important book...

Just one little question:

Which Bible?

Ya'll say "The Bible" like you have a Pope and there is only one. That's not true. So... which one?

If you don't know then maybe you are not qualified to make such mandates.

If you have a hobby or area of study why not look for the pages like the one I found in YOUR area of interest and use it to alert your hobby group to the problem?

I'm certain there are fake experts in everything: bicycles, knitting, exotic fish, gardens, etc.

If we have so much good AI tech why can't anyone make a spell check that I can't stump?

A few times a week I must go to the dictionary (like a cavewoman!) or search the web since I've mangled some word in such a way that there are no suggestions. It's just "wrong" what's wrong with it? Who knows!

Could it be a scientific name and just not in the dictionary? Maybe! Could it be an obscure word with a pretentious UK spelling? Probably! Could it be wrong? Also probably.

Do this first AI lords.

If you use Ivory for Mastodon, could you check if you are seeing a 🎬 icon next to my profile picture, or if it is only shown as part of my name?

For other accounts I see, Ivory moves any icon placed in the profile name up to the profile picture as a badge, which I think is a nice feature.

But for some reason, it does not work for my own icon, at least not when I view myself.

Perhaps @ivory has a bug?

Since the total operating losses were $58 million that's $42 million just for interest on debt! Interest. How big is the debt? How was it incurred? This is a social media company using tweaked open source software. They didn't make a new technology, there is no need for a huge investment to get a website running.

I mean its cute that he thinks that's possible; 'my ambition... to make the NHS so good that no one feels forced to go private'!

However, misunderstands how the private sector cherry picks medical treatments to ensure that the NHS never gets the easy to do stuff; so never 'gets better' just challenged
