When did you know a career was either the perfect or the worst match for your personality?

I'm trying to give someone advice on choosing a career that will suit them better than the one they're in and hate. I wanted to get together a list of good questions for them to ask themselves so they can use the answers to compare options like "do you prefer to work sitting or moving around," "do you want to not work weekends"...

This kind of test told me I should be a librarian. Needless to say I am not that today and it would have been too boring (as a career no less) .

People don't know shit and cannot tell you what is best for you. Even bosses and so on have no idea and you need to tell them what you would like to do for your development.

Someone has written it here. There was at least some techno optimism left in 2012 or so and maybe that's the time I am nostalgic for.

What is it about the text messages and emails sent by older people that make me feel like I'm having a stroke?

Maybe they're used to various shortcuts in their writing that they picked up before autocorrect became common, but these habits are too idiosyncratic for autocorrect to handle properly. However, that doesn't explain the emails I've had to decipher that were typed on desktop keyboards. Has anyone else younger than 45 or so felt similarly frustrated with geriatrics' messages?

T9 was so bad that I don't even understand that they threw these phones on the market.

I was there for the whole GSM phone era and the most obvious thing would have been to release a blackberry type thing with a slide out keyboard.

Doesn't China subsidize what they export on top of having cheap labor? In that case a free market argument cannot really be made.
The innovation in the US or elsewhere would have to be extreme shifts to compete.

I think these plastic boxes the blades come in often have a slot for used blades on the bottom.
They take up so little space without the paper around them that an entire pack fits into a 1mm slot maybe.
