I've always been an avid gamer and designer, not usually computer games, but mostly table-top games, especially TTRPGs. Right now our group is playing a Traveller campaign, in a unique setting and with 3D star maps.

My favorite board games are chess and World in Flames. I'm in a committed relationship, and I love the Lakers.

I'm also a musician, and I appreciate humor, especially political.

Yes that's true, because if over 500,000 are KIA, and 2 are seriously injured for each death, then the total Russian casualties would be over 1.5 million, which is preposterous. The KIA number is still probably 150,000-ish, almost three times what the US suffered in 15 years in Vietnam.

If Russian casualties are ~1000 a day, then it's probably about 300 KIA, which is brutal. I gather Ukraine has about a third that many.

I'm not generally annoyed by discussion of D&D, and can even often participate, but the period of ramp-up to new books is tiring.

I don't have judgment for anyone; I've got my list of crap companies I buy from - but I'm just.... not going to be giving Wizards any money.

I like the novel Dune more than I do LotR, and I think the latest Dune adaptation (both movies taken as a whole) are excellent, and mostly faithful to the book.

But the LotR movies, while admittedly taking a lot of liberties, are so monumental and innovative that they still eclipse the cinematic Dune.

That said, Zendaya probably deserves a nomination next year, for playing Chani in part 2.
