Middle class is not the same as the rich. Trying to get various groups of not rich people against each other has been a time tested tactic to keep everyone from acting against the rich. First it was race but now it's trying to put the rural vs urban, the less fortunate vs the slightly less fortunate, union vs non union, etc.

The third party voters in a handful of states absolutely ended up being the deciding factor. It's not the absolute number of electoral college votes which I think you know but instead the states like Wisconsin and Michigan that Trump won by less than the larger than typical number of green party votes. I don't think that this trick will work twice but it's certainly being astroturfed like crazy again

400k is rich in some areas but certainly not everywhere, that's way too sharp of a curve. Someone making 400k is already taxed at 35% federally plus whatever state and local so probably close to 50. The real issue is that after 500k the rates don't change where it should be increasing logarithmically. But really after a certain point there are way too many things that the rich do to reduce their tax burden that just aren't available to everyone else, that 100k or 400k person is in reality paying a much higher percentage than someone making a million a year much less billionaires.

I don't they'll vote for Trump either, it's more likely that they'll vote for an independent or third-party candidate or just stay at home.

I doubt they would vote for Trump either but not voting would have the same impact on the Palestinians as voting for Trump. I hope that people considering sitting it out think about what trumps finish the job comments would actually mean. It's hard to see the difference right now but I can't see any future at all with trump winning that is not full on ethnic cleansing of the region rather than the slow walking genocide that's happening now.

Biden did not bypass Congress in the sense that Congress would have in any way blocked it, just slightly increased the speed that it happened. What was sold in that deal (anti tank missiles) are not being used in Palestine but are a deterrent for Israel against Iran escalating due to isreals deplorable genocide. The headlines make it seem like anti personal weapons to be used in their genocide but that's not what those are but no one ever thinks about any nuance at all or (gasp) reads the articles.

We did but facism will never go away. Before they slunk away but now fascists can connect with each other online. Instead of it being a few people that happen to meet up and connect now they can seek each other out. It's the same reason that racism has made such a dramatic resurgence. It will literally require eternal vigilance.

It's further ahead in the US but coming elsewhere. Even in parliamentary countries fascism is coming back although since they are not first past the post not as pronounced. As long as the internet is around and there's no repurcissions for belonging to those groups they will be around.

I don't think that's true, there's plenty of disagreement over Biden policies. It's when people try to play the both sides card, lumping Biden and Trump as both being senile or blaming the situation in Palestine on Biden that gets people riled up especially when people try to use those arguments to convince people to not vote.

I think that it is more informative to look at statewide elections instead of assembly. Gerrymandering depressed turnout and in some heavily gerrymandered districts Republicans were running unnopossed. Looking at statewide elections instead with the new maps democrats will get 46% of seats with roughly 50% of the vote.
