The Tribunal accepted that creed should include non-religious belief systems, yet still rejected ethical veganism because it “does not address the existence or non-existence of a Creator and/or a higher order of existence”.

It's kind of funny that there is the implicit idea that any wacky ideas counts as a creed as long as it has fake answers for irrelevant questions. It's ballsy for the Tribunal would shit on religion like that.

Heyo, national economies need to run at a deficit. The amount of debt needs to be maintained but running a negative is a good thing because the interest payments become stable capital injection. These regular, anticipated payments build the confidence of very conservative money managers to spend their own money. It's trickle down but in a way that helps increase the likelihood of money being spent, which is basically the GDP. And the speed of people spending money in the system is a metric that central banks use to set interest rates.

It's all connected and that's why running a deficit, a (relatively) small one, is a good thing. Nations don't use checkbook accounting.

Ketchup is a western sauce. Mayo is an JP/K sauce. Hot sauce isn't even mentioned but is more widespread than brown sauce.

F-16s will also use the same hard point connections as the munitions Ukraine is receiving from the west. Most weapons like Storm Shadow have to have an adaptor or temp setup to use them on Soviet aircraft.

The gains for ground work will be huge. Also, parts are much easier to receive than make, which will reduce downtime for each plane. Another benefit is to use modern western radar and ECM instead of whatever was native to Russian systems. It's a lot of small gains that add up to a very real change in the air war over Ukraine. Whether the Vipers can reduce Russia air superiority or not will remain to be seen, but anything is better than what's happening right now.

Reactionary policies are always a bad attempt at solving the problem and it's hard for many folks to see that, much less deeply understand it enough to guide their decisions. People see something they don't and they want it gone, not to study it to banish it.

It's part of the appeal for right wing parties. Authoritarians use force to squash the problem and it feels good to see toxic equivalency meted out to those who hurt us. The goal isn't to stop crime from happening, it's to cause crime to know what it is up against and that will stop most petty crime. But organized crime will rise up and become a second government to those who wanted strength over study, brawn over brains.

Let them live in their cage. They made it, let them enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Korean food usually looks amazing and constantly smells delicious but eating it isn't as satisfying. I've had the elote and potato corndogs. Potato was super awkward to eat since it's the width of an upper arm but as short as a hand. Felt like I was trying to pelican a corn cob.

Elote was tasty but just the batter. The dog itself was bland and the batter had pulled away from the dog and fried for too long to get that gold color. The inside was super heated hot dog water and salt.

And the sticks they use are like closet rods. The result is a poorly built fantasy that looks good enough to buy and try but it's not good enough to be a repeat customer.

That candidate is caught up in the very specific idea of "legal" and "documented alien" for methods of immigration without realizing that the racism inherent in the system will make it virtually impossible for anyone to meet legal qualifications for entry. Often the racism is hidden in the unwritten parts like the fees required to submit paperwork and the pressure for legal representation - all things that cost money and is designed to keep our the poors.

That candidate has no idea what nuance means and will run things like a tyrant, confused by a lack of clear morality.

Probably because they were contractually obligated. Nasa and Boeing entered into their agreement in 2019 when SpaceX was making headlines for reusable rockets and the Starship announcement. Boeing had FOMO they might miss out on government money so they made their own rockets with blackjack and hookers. Sadly, now Boeing is working hard to keep up while also trying to not kill more people with their "flying" machines.

The Civil Rights movement is what caused Republicans to move towards business and away from helpful social policies. The Democrats saw the shift as lots of their own rank fled to join the Goldwater Rs and pivoted to grab the underrepresented folks. This broadly created the current business focused Republican Party and the social focused Democrats.
