Ever notice how forgiving loans is suddenly a big problem when students get much-needed relief, but nobody blinks an eye when billionaires get their PPP loans forgiven? Or when corporations are handed billions in subsidies?

@rbreich I agree with the sentiment and I'd like to get your opinion. Which would be a more effective economic stimulus, the present student loan forgiveness or something like lowering the threshold for medical expenses on income tax to 0.00 for a year? Or perhaps some credit towards paid medical debt in addition to the standard deduction? I think medical debt is more universal for acceptance as student debt is more likely to be perceived as voluntary debt. Thoughts?

The Manhattan DA's office is urging Judge Merchan to reject 's effort to delay his criminal trial because of pre-trial publicity, arguing Trump "has constantly stoked and encouraged such publicity."

Trump's "own incessant rhetoric is generating significant publicity, and it would be perverse to reward defendant with an adjournment based on media attention he is actively seeking."

@GottaLaff obviously Trump is playing two of his favorite tactics, attempting to look like a defiant strongman (with a side order of threatened stochastic violence) while also portraying himself as a victim. I think Democrats/Democrat PACs should have advertising that lays out Trump’s verbatim remarks and then the ask the audience something along the lines of “What would happen to you if you went to court and acted like that?” Pin Left & Right frustration of two tier justice on Trump. Thoughts?

Pay attention to how the media frames this election. They say we’re “deeply divided” but miss the big picture. One side would throw the rules of democracy out entirely! That’s not just “divided.” That’s wanting to end our country as we know it by putting a strongman in charge.

@rbreich any major media outlet framing a Biden versus Trump rematch as “just another Democrat versus Republican presidential election” are hedging their bets. But you already knew that. It’s also reassuring their viewers that there’s nothing to panic about, the network and most of their talent will be okay regardless of who wins.
