Make an app with a feature for the post composer that's a "hashtag drawer" that lets you individually save hashtags WITH CamelCase for easy re-use.
In the same app, add a feature to create timelines with "hashtag groups" similar to Sharkey's native "antenna" feature.
Icecubes has hashtag groups but it's limited to 4 hashtags which is fine. But the "recent hashtag" feature doesn't seem to save CamelCase.
Moshidon/Megalodon has the antenna timeline feature built into the UI of their app, but it only works for Misskey/Sharkey instances. I'm sure it can be worked into the app somehow to work for Mastodon. PLEASE.
@ivory hi! Great app! However, I miss 1 cool feature from #IceCubesApp. Is it possible to group hashtags? Or is it just me and I can’t find it? Thank you!
I find it odd that a #Mastodon app on #iOS which charges a subscription fee is so popular that an update post makes the trending page. I've used Ivory, and apps on #Android like #Tusky and #Pachli are just as good plus completely free. :ablobthinkingeyes:
To anyone looking for a minimalistic Threads-like Mastodon app for iOS, @Threaded is pretty good!
They're in TestFlight right now and I'm sure they'll be working on it for a bit before releasing it.
A bit TOO minimalistic for me personally because I'm already used to the "feature packed" @IceCubesApp, but if you don't mind a feature lite app, Threaded is definitely worth a look!
Feature request: an option to be able to interact with posts with a specific account while "logged in" to another account.
I put "logged in" in quotes because from what I understand about @IceCubesApp, every account added to the app is always logged in, even without technically switching accounts. Though I don't know how other apps handle it.
The reasoning for wanting this feature is simple. For those on single user instances, we don't get all the content all the time because of the way Federation works. Therefore I keep a private mastodon.social account to casually browse certain hashtags and then I currently have to copy the link and login to this account to interact with the post.
TheDesk for Windows has this feature and it's cool as hell. Would love it if we could get this for one (or many) of the mobile apps.
I absolutely love the choices available to us for apps to use on #Mastodon.
There are several good ones, and I include the official app in their number. It’s just pretty and makes great use of the available space on a phone screen.
That said, #IceCubesApp is just amazing. It’s so configurable, so powerful, and just looks and works great.
@devnull no, completely removed from the web inteface as a whole in 4.2.4 for some reason.🤷♂️ Thankfully it still works as originally in #IceCubesApp. But it was removed from the web interface as seen in the images.
For those using the mastodon.social web app, there's been an update to one of #Mastodon's core features, the compose form! Been working on it since end of November last year, so really excited to finally bring it to light. More is to come. Let me know how you like it!
Just tipped #IceCubesApp for making my #fediverse experience so much better and smoother. @IceCubesApp thank you for creating and maintaining that amazing #opensource application ☺️
