A Great Kiskadee (tyrant flycatcher family) perched on a utility wire, having just hunted a large insect for breakfast.

The flycatcher has flipped positions on the wire. From this angle the insect looks to be some form of grasshopper, but light yellow. The background is a pretty brown and green bokeh

A Masked Gnatcatcher inspects its surroundings. They won't stay put, hopping from place to place incessantly. I like the first picture with the utility wires and stuff because it gives a sense of scale on how freaking tiny they are.
