"Famine is spreading inexorably from north Gaza to the south and by mid-July will very likely have encompassed the entirety of the Gaza Strip, with its 2.2 million people"
"If the Israeli-imposed famine remained in place for two months, it would kill more than all the Israeli bombs have in the nine months of the total war on Gaza"
"Israel is deliberately attacking Gaza’s fishermen,"
"Since 7 October, Israel has declared much of Gaza’s coastal areas to be “dangerous combat zones...However, even in areas of Gaza’s coast deemed by Israel to be “safe humanitarian zones”, fishermen have been targeted by the Israeli warships, which fire shells at fishing boats without any prior warning"
If they fish, they eat, hence the IOF kills the fishermen.
A World Food Programme warehouse in Deir el-Balah was damaged on Thursday when an Israeli missile hit an adjoining flour mill, forcing the UN’s food agency to temporarily suspend operations at the site.
On the same day, the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reported that nine out of 10 children in Gaza are experiencing severe food poverty, and are surviving on two or fewer food groups each day.
With a net worth in excess of $30 billion, Miriam Adelson is continuing her husband's tradition of being a kingmaker in Republican politics, and she recently signaled to Trump that the campaign cash spigot could be turned on IF he comes out in favor of allowing Israel to annex the Palestinian-controlled West Bank territory, and if his administration recognizes it as Israeli territory.
#Oxfam has warned that Palestinians displaced by the Israeli war on Gaza are living in appalling conditions, with #children often going hungry for a whole day and thousands sharing the same toilet.
A food survey by aid agencies in May found that 85 percent of children did not eat for a whole day at least once in the three days before the survey was conducted.
‘Solidarity over hatred’: the small band of Israelis stopping settlers obstructing aid trucks
Israeli #Peace activists confronting settlers acknowledge they are ‘a minority within a minority’
At approximately 10.30am on a scorching Monday, a group of five young Israeli #settlers arrived at the Tarqumiya #checkpoint, west of Hebron in the West Bank, where dozens of aid trucks bound for Gaza were expected.
The settlers had received detailed information about the timing, location, and number of trucks that would pass through the checkpoint that morning. What they had not anticipated was that dozens of peace activists had also gathered in Tarqumiya with a specific mission: to prevent the settlers from blocking the vehicles and ensure that the aid continued its journey to Gaza.

What kinds of sick world we live in that most people are numb about this unimaginable suffering of innocent children?
I just can’t understand it. I have problem sleeping at night knowings after seeing these images and then people openly and proudly support the genocidal regime of Israel.
The worst part is, most of them are “nice people”, “family people”, “charitable people” and very “progressive”, but they just don’t seem to have any compassion for people of color, specially those from the wrong continent.
13-year-old Abdelqader Al-Sarhi has died in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, due to malnutrition and lack of medical treatment amidst the closure of the Rafah border crossing.
I'm ashamed to live in a world that allows this to happen.
US State Department official resigns, says US report on #Gaza inaccurate
A U.S. State Department official who quit this week said on Thursday her resignation was precipitated by an administration report to #Congress that she said falsely stated #Israel was not blocking #humanitarian aid to Gaza, prompting her to resign in protest of President Joe #Biden's Israel policy.
Stacy Gilbert, who served in the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, was a subject matter expert working on the report.
"There is so clearly a right and wrong, and what is in that report is wrong," Gilbert said in an interview.
"The @LemkinInstitute reiterates our condemnation of the use of #starvation as a weapon, we are appalled by the current #famine occurring in #Gaza. As one of our recognized patterns of genocide, man-made famine that is used to weaken or destroy a group is known as #Genocide"

More than 70 international organisations are calling on all authorities and international institutions to officially declare a famine in Gaza, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has said in a statement.
The entire population in the Gaza Strip (2.2 million people) are experiencing high levels of acute food insecurity, with half of them in the disaster/famine stage.

“The hospital system in Gaza has all but collapsed. We have paediatricians in field hospitals in Gaza who said that they are seeing cases of malnutrition. They are seeing hepatitis, jaundice, gastroenteritis. These are horrific challenges facing children. And we just do not have supplies or enough personnel to deal with this.”
